US Shredder Takes Recycling Message To NASCAR's All Star Race

21 May 2012

Trussville, AL –  US Shredder took the Recycling Industry’s message to millions of NASCAR viewers Saturday night under the lights at the Annual All Star Race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.   With a winning purse of $1 million dollars the race was televised on national television.

During press conferences throughout the week, David Ragan, winner of the 2011 Darlington race, highlighted key points about the importance of recycling to our economy and the environment.  Ragan finished on the lead lap driving the #34 US Shredder Ford.

“This was a unique way to get our company and the recycling industry front and center to millions of  NASCAR fans across the world,”  according to US Shredder President Bill Tigner.   The company also invited ISRI to ride along and placed the association’s logo front and center on the hood of car.  “It was interesting to learn how many drivers actually knew and had relationships with scrap companies across the country.  Unfortunately, after some races,  drivers need to take their cars in for shredding,” Tigner commented.

US Shredder plans to maintain its relationship with NASCAR and David Ragan’s team including bringing the #34 car to the ISRI convention in 2013.

The US Shredder offers scrap shredders, control systems, downstream systems, non ferrous recovery, air systems, scrap shears, balers, and loggers; as well as shredder castings, service, engineering and consulting to the worldwide scrap industry.  For more information, please contact Bill Tigner at 205-999-7670.
